Finance Manager (m/f/x) with a passion for business partnering

The Position

The position is new and the candidate will help to shape the way we work in the Nordics. The candidate will be reporting to the Nordic Finance Director and will have a central role in planning, reporting and in collaborating with our Alliance partner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with and support Business Partners in the Nordic affiliates
  • Perform month-end closing activities in close collaboration with Shared Service Accounting in the European Headquarters
  • Analyze sales and cost development, and report to stakeholders
  • Coordinate planning processes within affiliate collaborating with alliance partner
  • Make planning assumptions transparent and facilitate reviews with regional management
  • Provide management with clear, objective financial and business insights to support the decision process
  • Set up, expand and maintain reporting structures, including the definition of KPIs and controlling standards in accordance with current requirements
  • Work independently on finance projects to initiate optimization measures within the scope of your area of responsibility
  • Develop, review and adapt internal control procedures (SOPs)
  • Prepare and explain audit material to external and internal auditors and act as the primary contact throughout the audit process
  • Support the experts in preparation of annual tax returns and act as contact with local tax authorities
  • Potential to grow into larger role within the organization, including international possibilities within a global company.

 Qualifications and personal skills

  • Relevant business degree in Finance/Accounting or related field alternatively, an equivalent qualification with relevant experience will also be considered
  • Proven experience as a Business Controller with 5+ years of experience in Finance/Financial Planning & Analysis, preferably in an international company
  • Experience in an organization doing business in the Nordic countries
  • Hands-on mentality and ability to act autonomously with minimal supervision
  • Open-minded with a natural curiosity to the commercial side of the business
  • Experience in SAP R/3 as well as planning & reporting tools
  • Result oriented with a strong affinity for numbers in financial contexts that enables you to quickly think your way into complex tasks
  • Strong team player with a pro-active attitude able to work in a cross-functional environment
  • Builds and maintains close relationship with internal partners
  • Good communication skills
  • Fluency in English, Nordic languages a plus
